Crafted by a French master jeweler in the 1930s, the antique "Frida" ring embodies all the geometric elegance of Art Deco. At its center, a 0.05-carat 8/8-cut diamond delicately illuminates the setting. Platinum and 18-karat white gold come together to create a beautifully lustrous mount. Engraved, openwork, and accented with millegrain detailing, it brings together the finest French craftsmanship of the era.

The 8/8 cut, with its seventeen facets, was widely used in jewelry in the early 20th century for small diamonds. Simpler than the modern brilliant cut, it offers a subtle, soft sparkle that perfectly complements antique jewelry. Its understated twinkle pairs beautifully with the intricately crafted settings of the interwar period. Traditionally associated with purity and eternity, the diamond remains the stone of lasting commitments.

Emerging in the 1920s, the Art Deco style draws inspiration from modern architecture and favors clean lines, symmetry, and geometric motifs. Platinum, the signature metal of this period, made it possible to create finely crafted, openwork settings with great precision. This ring features all the hallmarks of the style, with a setting crafted like metal lace. Refined and delicate, it should be worn with care, on its own or paired with other antique rings.

One-of-a-kind ring, size 54 - US size 7, adjustable from 49 to 57. Your first resizing is complimentary.*
